The mistress of former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn testified that he repeatedly talked about wanting his wife, Ashley Flynn, dead before she was killed in February.

Alleigha Botner said she gave Flynn an ultimatum to leave his wife by January 11, but he did not, and they briefly stopped communicating before reconnecting on Valentine’s Day.

She testified that Flynn told her he planned to divorce Ashley and sent messages suggesting the following day would be significant, hours before Ashley was fatally shot.

Prosecutors also presented more than 100,000 messages between Flynn and Botner, including alleged statements about killing his wife and efforts to delete evidence of their affair, Fox News has reported.

Flynn has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and other charges, while his defense has argued that the evidence is circumstantial and does not prove he killed Ashley.
