Russian attack on bus kills at least 30 people near Ukraine frontline

A Russian missile strike on a public transport bus in Kramatorsk, eastern Ukraine, killed at least 30 people and wounded 18 others, making it one of the deadliest attacks on Ukrainian civilians this year.

The strike occurred near a dental clinic on Thursday morning, setting buses ablaze and leaving bodies and debris scattered across the street.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of deliberately targeting civilians and warned that the death toll could rise as doctors treated the injured.

The attack followed a Russian strike on an apartment building in Pryluky that killed at least 22 people, including five children, prompting renewed condemnation from Ukrainian and British officials, The Guardian has reported.

Zelenskyy urged Western allies to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses and provide additional military support as Russian attacks continue across the country.
