Ukraine’s military experienced sudden restrictions on Starlink satellite internet terminals, reportedly disrupting several combat missions as the Trump administration pressured Kyiv to stop attacking Russian oil refineries.
Ukrainian officials suspect the restrictions may be politically motivated, although the exact reasons for the outage remain unclear, and stationary Starlink terminals reportedly continue to operate.
The disruption could weaken Ukraine’s air defenses, particularly its ability to intercept Russian attack drones, while questions grow over whether the United States is limiting intelligence sharing.
Meanwhile, Russia launched a massive assault involving 39 ballistic missiles and 120 attack drones against Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure, leaving at least 600,000 people without electricity, The Guardian has reported.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is seeking renewed negotiations with Washington and has expressed Ukraine’s willingness to pursue a ceasefire, insisting that Russia must also participate in any agreement.
