Tyson Foods CFO arrested after entering wrong home, falling asleep

The chief financial officer of Tyson Foods, who is also the son of the company’s chairman, has been arrested in Arkansas over the weekend after he entered a random woman’s home while he was intoxicated and fell asleep in her bed, authorities said.

  • YAHOO NEWS – John R. Tyson, 32, was found asleep at the home in the 400 block of North Mock Avenue in Fayetteville 2:05 a.m. Sunday, according to the preliminary arrest report. Tyson’s headquarters is in Springdale, about 10 miles northeast of Fayetteville.
  • CNN – According to the police report, Tyson, who is the great grandson of the founder of the meat processing giant, was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass.
  • CNBC – A woman who did not know Tyson allegedly found him asleep in her bed around 2 a.m., according to local television station KNWA/Fox24, which cited a police report. Tyson’s breath smelled of alcohol, and he was unable to verbally respond to police, the station reported. The woman told police that she believed the front door was unlocked.
  • NEW YORK POST – Tyson was booked early Sunday and released later that evening, according to the Washington County, Arkansas, Sheriff’s Department.
