The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is not looking for any other suspects in the shootings of five people Wednesday, including the killing of one of Spectrum News 13’s reporters and a 9-year-old girl, Sheriff John Mina said Thursday.
Keith Melvin Moses was taken into custody after the Wednesday afternoon shootings, Mina said.
“We’re not looking for anyone else,” Mina said at a news conference Thursday as he gave an update of the investigation. “He’s the guy. He’s our suspect.”
Multiple witnesses identified Moses as the shooter, Mina said.
When deputies detained Moses after the afternoon shootings, they found him in possession of a Glock 40 semiautomatic, Mina said, adding that the weapon was still warm, meaning the weapon had recently fired.
