CIA ‘warns Iran will attack Israel within 48 hours’ as revenge for consulate strike

The CIA has alerted Israel of an imminent attack by Iran within 48 hours.

This follows Israel’s strike on Tehran’s consulate in Damascus, resulting in the death of two Iranian military commanders.

Iran has vowed retaliation, leading to concerns from US intelligence about a potential attack on Israel, reportedly involving drones and missiles from Iranian bases.

US officials fear the Israeli strike could escalate tensions and trigger a wider conflict in the Middle East.

Former CIA official Ralph Goff criticized Israel’s action as “reckless,” anticipating escalation from Iran, the Daily Express reported.

Retired General Kenneth F. McKenzie viewed the strike as a significant blow to Iran, while former Pentagon official Dana Stroul warned of escalating tensions in the region.

Iranian leaders condemned the attack, with President Ebrahim Raisi and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowing retaliation against Israel.
