Sen. Vance says ‘totally reasonable’ for Trump to investigate Biden for possible wrongdoing

Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio) suggested on Sunday that it would be reasonable for former President Trump to investigate President Biden if Trump wins a second term in November.

Vance, appearing on NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” responded to a previous statement by Trump where he promised to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Biden and his family.

Vance downplayed Trump’s comments, saying they were about investigating the previous administration’s conduct, which he claimed Biden had also done, The Hill has reported.

Vance criticized Attorney General Merrick Garland’s appointment of a special counsel to investigate Trump’s actions after the 2020 election, arguing that Biden’s administration had already posed a significant threat to the legal and governmental systems.
