Donald Trump has been elected the 47th president of the United States, marking a historic return to power after losing four years ago.

His victory, secured with a win in Wisconsin, reflects a hard-edged approach, including attacks on opponent Kamala Harris and President Biden.

Trump has vowed sweeping government reforms and retribution, promising to be a president for all Americans, and vowing to make America great again.

His vice president, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, represents a younger generation in government, the Associated Press has reported.

Vance classified Trump’s win as the greatest political comeback in history.
