One person was killed and six others injured in a shooting during Lincoln University’s homecoming celebrations in Pennsylvania, authorities said.
The victim, Jujuan Jeffers, 25, died from a gunshot to the head, while the wounded, aged 20–25, are expected to recover.
Police believe the gunfire broke out spontaneously, and one suspect, Zecqueous Morgan Thompson, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, though it’s unclear if his gun was used, ABC News has reported.
University officials and Pennsylvania authorities expressed shock and support, emphasizing the tragedy of gun violence at the historically Black institution.
