A violent altercation occurred near the University of California, Berkeley on Monday afternoon before a Turning Point USA event featuring Dr. Frank Turek and Rob Schneider.

The fight, which began around 4:30 p.m. PST, left one man with blood streaming from his face and drew a crowd of demonstrators wearing keffiyehs and carrying left-wing signs.

Berkeley police struggled to contain the situation, donning shields and gathering batons; at least two people were arrested, including one for battery.

The incident occurred off campus, according to UC Berkeley officials, Fox News has reported.

After the event, protesters surrounded exits, heckled attendees, and shouted obscenities as participants left.
