Ukrainian drones struck key Russian oil infrastructure, including the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk and several tankers allegedly used to bypass sanctions.
The attack caused a fire at the major export terminal, though Russian officials reported no oil spill.
Ukraine said it also damaged military vessels and additional “shadow fleet” tankers to weaken Russia’s oil revenues.
Moscow has not confirmed all of Ukraine’s claims, but both sides reported continued drone attacks causing casualties and damage, CBS News has reported.
The strikes are part of Ukraine’s broader effort to target Russia’s energy sector, which helps fund the ongoing war.
