Six people were killed in a series of shootings in Muscatine, Iowa, that police believe stemmed from a domestic dispute.
The suspected gunman, identified as 52-year-old Ryan Willis McFarland, was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officers discovered victims at multiple locations, including a home, another residence, and a business, with all believed to be family members of the suspect.
Police Chief Anthony Kies described the incident as an “act of evil” and said the investigation is ongoing, the BBC has reported.
Local officials expressed grief over the tragedy, while authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shootings.
