Trump hosts UFC cage fight on the White House lawn

The UFC held a historic fight card on the South Lawn of the White House, with President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, cabinet members, and more than 4,000 spectators in attendance.

Despite rain and wind, the event proceeded with military flyovers, live music, and even a “Happy Birthday” song for Trump, who turned 80 that day.

In the main event, Justin Gaethje defeated Ilia Topuria by fourth-round TKO to win the UFC lightweight title after a dominant performance.

Ciryl Gane captured the interim heavyweight title by knocking out Alex Pereira in the co-main event, while several other fighters secured victories earlier in the night, NBC News has reported.

The unusual venue and high-profile political presence made the event one of the most unconventional moments in UFC history.
