7 people now face charges in plot targeting UFC event at White House

Federal prosecutors have arrested two additional suspects, Jordan Rincker and William Lee Falkner, in an alleged plot to attack a UFC event near the White House, bringing the total number of defendants to seven.

Court documents say Rincker provided money, weapons, and logistical support to co-conspirators and discussed using drones to carry out an explosive attack, though he later denied technical knowledge of drones.

Falkner is accused of communicating in encrypted chats about acquiring drones and explosives and discussing potential targets, including claims about attacking high-profile figures.

The investigation began after a tip from a suspect’s family member, leading the FBI to uncover encrypted messages outlining broader plans of violent attacks, ABC News has reported.

Authorities say the group also discussed shifting targets and escalating plans, but it remains unclear whether any weapons or drones were actually obtained.
