Trump to debut Qatari-gifted jet as Air Force One

President Donald Trump is set to fly on a nearly $400 million luxury Boeing 747 gifted by the government of Qatar, using it as a new Air Force One during upcoming travel and Fourth of July celebrations.

The aircraft, recently arrived at Joint Base Andrews, is being fast-tracked into service as a temporary “bridge” plane until new purpose-built presidential aircraft are completed in 2028.

The jet will transport Trump to North Dakota and is expected to participate in a celebratory flyover marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The gift has sparked controversy over national security, foreign influence, and conflicts of interest, with critics questioning the risks of using a foreign-donated presidential aircraft, MS Now has reported.

The administration says the plane has undergone extensive testing and meets all safety and security standards for presidential transport.
