The powerful typhoon caused widespread damage, including severe power outages, flooding, blocked roads, and major damage to buildings and infrastructure.

Authorities urged residents to remain sheltered as emergency shelters filled with people seeking refuge, particularly those still recovering from earlier storms.

Officials warned that some areas could be without power for weeks, while emergency crews began assessing the damage after the storm passed, NPR has reported.

Government agencies suspended operations, and residents were advised to avoid travel as dangerous weather conditions persisted.
