Two major wildfires in Spain’s Zaragoza and Guadalajara regions remain out of control, forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate.

The Zaragoza fire has burned about 15,400 hectares, making it the country’s largest wildfire of 2026, while firefighters continue working to protect nearby towns.

In Guadalajara, the blaze has displaced more than 500 people across 11 municipalities and destroyed thousands of hectares.

Emergency crews are focusing on preventing the fires from reaching residential areas, particularly near Semillas, Euro News has reported.

Authorities have kept roads closed and issued emergency alerts as shifting winds continue to threaten affected communities.
