Five Metropolitan Police officers were injured after a police boat carrying armed officers crashed into Westminster Bridge while responding to an emergency on the River Thames.
Three officers were thrown into the water and rescued by nearby boaters, while all five were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No members of the public were hurt in the incident.
Witnesses said the boat appeared to strike the bridge after encountering the wake of another vessel traveling at high speed, the BBC has reported.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash as emergency crews praised the quick response of rescuers.
