A 25-year-old Utah woman was arrested for allegedly setting fire to a church where her wedding was scheduled to take place the following day.

Police said Lenita Moreno started the blaze inside a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building while family members were preparing for the ceremony, causing more than $108,000 in damage.

Investigators said the fire appeared to have been intentionally set beneath a chair, with evidence linking Moreno to stolen cigarette lighters used before the incident.

Authorities also accused Moreno of lying about details surrounding the fire, including claims about having obtained a marriage license, the Smoking Gun has reported.

She is being held without bail after a judge determined she posed a potential danger or flight risk.
