A kidnapping suspect was killed by sheriff’s deputies in Chino Hills after allegedly shooting a victim during a traffic stop.
Authorities said the suspect had previously shot the victim and placed them in the trunk of a vehicle before deputies stopped the car.
When ordered out of the vehicle, the driver allegedly approached the trunk and fired another shot at the trapped victim before deputies opened fire.
Both the suspect and the victim were pronounced dead at the scene, while a second person in the vehicle surrendered, the LA Times has reported.
Investigators are continuing to examine the motive and relationship between the suspects and the victim.
