North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s sister, Kim Yo Jong, warned that Pyongyang will consider “additional military options” in response to Japan’s growing military capabilities.

She criticized Japan’s testing of U.S.-made Tomahawk cruise missiles and accused Tokyo of moving toward offensive military operations.

Kim blamed the United States for supporting Japan’s military expansion through weapons sales and joint defense cooperation.

Analysts said North Korea is using Japan’s military buildup as justification for its own weapons development and possible future demonstrations, NBC News has reported.

The comments come amid rising tensions between North Korea, Japan, South Korea, and the United States over regional security.
