A man suspected of killing five people in Oregon was found dead inside a vehicle in Enumclaw, Washington, one day after the victims were discovered on a rural property near Portland.

Authorities identified the suspect as 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker and believe he died by suicide, saying there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigators said Parker knew the victims, but they have not released details about the victims’ identities, how they died or their possible relationships.

Authorities initially responded to reports of a vehicle fire at the Forest Grove property and found the bodies of five people along with several dead domestic animals, CBS News has reported.

The sheriff’s office described the crime scene as unusually complex and urged anyone with information about the property or its residents to come forward.
