Made Fresh Salads Inc. has recalled more than 25 varieties of cream cheese and other spreads after testing detected Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled products include flavors such as strawberry, scallion, blueberry, garlic and herb, lox and several other cream cheese varieties.

The recall also covers tofu spreads and more than 40 prepared deli foods, including potato salad, macaroni salad, tuna salad and puddings.

The products were distributed in parts of New York City, including Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, and some may have been repackaged by retailers, Newsweek has reported.

No illnesses have been reported, but consumers are being urged not to eat the recalled products because Listeria can cause serious or potentially fatal infections, especially in vulnerable people.
