New photos obtained by CBS News show extensive damage to U.S. military bases and equipment across the Middle East following Iranian missile and drone attacks.
The images, provided anonymously by active-duty service members, show destroyed buildings, damaged barracks, and military equipment hit by strikes.
At Prince Sultan Air Force Base in Saudi Arabia, an E-3 Sentry aircraft was severely damaged, with its tail completely severed from the burned fuselage.
Similar destruction was documented at Camp Buehring in Kuwait, while a Defense Department inspector general report estimated up to $3.7 billion in equipment losses, including nearly 60 aircraft, CBS News has reported.
Service members told CBS News that the damage is far greater than what has been communicated publicly and questioned whether U.S. bases are adequately protected from Iranian attacks.
