Finnish authorities are investigating a series of suspected break-ins and attempted intrusions at the homes of several members of Parliament.
Parliament Speaker Jussi Halla-aho described the number of reported cases as significant, although some incidents may have occurred as far back as a year ago.
Police said there were no obvious signs of forced entry or theft, with some politicians reporting small signs suggesting someone may have entered their homes.
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said foreign involvement was possible, while acknowledging that investigators had not established a motive or identified those responsible, the DW has reported.
The investigation comes as Finland remains particularly alert to potential foreign interference following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Finland’s decision to join NATO in 2023.
