Male shot by ICE agent in New York City’s Marble Hill, DHS says

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot and wounded a man in New York City’s Marble Hill neighborhood on Thursday during a federal enforcement operation.

The man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and a five-year-old child reportedly inside the vehicle was not injured.

Federal officials said agents were conducting a targeted operation, while the exact circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani condemned the incident and said he planned to demand that President Donald Trump end ICE enforcement operations in the city, CBS News has reported.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security are investigating the shooting, while New York officials are calling for transparency and a full account of what happened.
