Man dies after entering tiger habitat at British zoo

A man died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England on October 10 and being attacked by a tiger.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The zoo said the tiger, named Altai, remains safe and will not be euthanized because of the attack.

The park was closed following the incident, and police are supporting the victim’s family, the USA Today has reported.

Officials have urged the public not to share videos of the incident circulating online, while the zoo’s tiger exhibit is known for housing endangered Amur, or Siberian, tigers.
