Bob Lee, Cash App founder, killed in San Francisco stabbing

Officials have confirmed that Bob Lee, the chief product officer of MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency company, was fatally stabbed in San Francisco. Lee was also the founder of Cash App.

According to the police, the deadly stabbing in San Francisco occurred at 2:35 a.m. on Tuesday on Main Street’s 300 block.

Brooke Jenkins, the District Attorney of San Francisco, tweeted that there have been no arrests made yet and no information regarding the suspect(s) has been provided.

Undoubtedly, Lee was a significant player in the technology industry, ABC 7 News reported.

Prior to his role as the chief product officer of MobileCoin, he served as the CTO of Square, a mobile payment application, and created CashApp. He also worked at Google earlier in his career.
