
On Wednesday morning, SWAT officers were dispatched to the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago following reports of an armed woman entering the downtown skyscraper.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, police disclosed that the woman walked into the building situated at 401 N, “brandishing a rifle” at approximately 11:25 am., the Daily Mail reported.
Radio transmissions indicate that officers were summoned to the 27th floor of the building. The incident, believed to be domestic in nature, has not been connected to any act of terrorism.
According to some reports, police communications indicated that the woman had claimed to be “tired of being abused by her husband.”
However, the police were not immediately available for comment on Wednesday afternoon. They have stated that there is no danger to the public and that the incident seems to be an “isolated” event.
