
Chicago police have filed charges against a 26-year-old woman following a series of baseball bat attacks on the city’s Northwest Side.
Denise Solorzano, a resident of Chicago, is facing multiple felony charges, including three counts of aggravated battery in a public place, four counts of aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon, and one count of aggravated assault, WGN News reported.
Authorities have identified Solorzano as the individual responsible for assaulting two women, aged 27 and 31, with a baseball bat in the Albany Park neighborhood’s 4500 block on Tuesday. The incident was recorded on video, providing evidence for the investigation.
Shortly thereafter, Solorzano proceeded to assault another woman, aged 34, using a baseball bat in the 3000 block of West Cullom.
Police have indicated that Solorzano is additionally charged in connection with the battery incidents involving a 19-year-old woman in the 4000 block of West Lawrence and a 33-year-old woman in the 4200 block of North Richmond on Sunday.
Solorzano is scheduled to appear in bond court on Thursday.
