The investigation findings regarding the reported potential miracle at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston have been forwarded to the Vatican.
On March 5, Reverend Joseph Crowley, the pastor of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, which includes St. Thomas Church, brought attention to an unusual occurrence during Holy Communion.
A lay person distributing hosts discovered that the wafers in the ciborium had multiplied, the Hartford Courant reported.
Following the incident, Crowley expressed, “God duplicated himself in the ciborium. God provides, and it’s remarkable how God does that. And that did happen.”
To ascertain the possibility of a miracle, the Archdiocese of Hartford initiated an investigation into the matter. The investigation’s findings have now been sent to the Vatican for further evaluation.
