Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expressed deep distress and a sense of unease following an intense and perilous encounter with paparazzi during a prolonged chase in New York City on Tuesday night.

Accompanied by Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex found themselves relentlessly pursued by photographers after departing the Ziegfeld Theater.

This departure followed an event where Markle received recognition from Gloria Steinem at the Women of Vision Awards, Page Six reports.

Around 10 p.m., the trio departed the venue in an SUV, only to be trailed by approximately 12 paparazzi members.

In an attempt to elude their pursuers, they ultimately made the decision to abandon their initial vehicle and hastily board a yellow taxi.

According to an insider, the harrowing chase during which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were pursued by paparazzi in New York City took a dangerous turn.

The source claims that a cameraman involved in the pursuit collided with a car, while another paparazzo came perilously close to running over an NYPD officer. The incident was described as a “near-fatal” situation.
