According to authorities, a man from Kentucky was taken into custody for assault after shooting his roommate in the buttocks.

As stated in a court citation, Clifton Williams, aged 64, engaged in an argument with his male roommate on Saturday evening at their shared residence in Louisville.

An officer noted that the victim claimed Williams became angry because he had eaten the last Hot Pocket, the Smoking Gun reported.

The victim informed the police that Williams started throwing tiles at him. In response, the victim attempted to defend himself by engaging in a physical altercation.

When the victim decided to leave the property, Williams retrieved a handgun from inside the house and followed him outside.

Despite the victim yelling, “Don’t shoot,” Williams disregarded the plea and shot him in the buttocks as he was attempting to depart.

The wounded roommate managed to flee a few blocks away to seek assistance. He survived the shooting and was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for medical treatment.

Williams was arrested approximately four hours after the incident and subsequently charged with felony assault. He is currently held at the Jefferson County jail on a bond of $7,500.

The court citation did not specify the flavor of Hot Pocket that instigated this unfortunate incident.
