Palestine Action activists convicted in UK for break-in at Israeli defense factory

Four activists from Palestine Action were convicted of criminal damage after breaking into an Elbit Systems defense factory in Bristol and destroying equipment.

The group said the attack aimed to disrupt weapons production they believed would be used in conflict.

The incident involved a van crashing through the factory gates, followed by coordinated vandalism that caused about £1 million in damage.

One activist was also found guilty of grievous bodily harm after seriously injuring a police officer during the confrontation, the AP has reported.

The case is part of wider controversy over the group, which the UK government has sought to ban as a terrorist organization while legal challenges continue.
