Spring & Mulberry has expanded an ongoing recall of chocolate bars due to potential salmonella contamination, following an investigation that traced the issue to a single ingredient lot.
The company and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration say the affected products were sold nationwide since August 2025, though no illnesses have been reported and tests have been negative so far.
Consumers are being advised not to eat the recalled bars and to request refunds by submitting packaging information to the company.
Salmonella can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, with higher risks for children, older adults, and immunocompromised people, The Hill has reported.
The recall is part of a broader series of recent food safety alerts involving possible salmonella contamination in multiple products across the U.S.
