Suspect accused of killing 3 elderly men in Hawaii charged with murder

Jacob Baker, 36, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder along with multiple additional offenses in connection with the killing of three elderly men in Hawaii.

Authorities say the victims—Robert Shine, John Carse, and a 79-year-old man—were found dead at separate residences in Pahoa over a two-day period.

Baker was arrested after a manhunt involving state and federal agencies, following surveillance footage and witness reports that led police to his hiding place.

He was eventually found in a small cave near Kalapana and is being held without bond, described by police as armed and extremely dangerous, CBS News has reported.

Investigators say the victims appear largely unconnected, and the motive remains unknown.
