Ukraine says it hit missile electronics plant in western Russia

Ukraine’s military said it struck a missile electronics production plant in Russia’s Voronezh region and the Dubna satellite communications centre near Moscow.

Ukrainian officials described the Voronezh facility as a key part of Russia’s defence industry, while Russian authorities reported damage to a production plant and three injuries.

Ukraine also said heavy smoke was seen at the Dubna site, with damage assessments still underway.

Russian officials reported that air defence systems intercepted 301 drones overnight, including 84 headed toward Moscow, Al-Jazeera has reported.

The attacks temporarily disrupted operations at several Moscow-area airports and followed a recent drone strike on the city’s only oil refinery.
