Archaeologists may have found ruins that housed the Ark of the Covenant

Archaeologists working at Tel Shiloh in the West Bank say they may have uncovered the remains of an ancient structure that closely matches biblical descriptions of the Tabernacle, the supposed home of the Ark of the Covenant.

The team found building foundations, including a southern wall, that allow them to reconstruct a large east–west oriented structure consistent with ancient religious texts.

Nearby artifacts such as ritual objects, animal bones, and murex shells used for sacred blue dye suggest possible links to priestly and ceremonial practices described in the Bible.

Researchers also uncovered city defenses and gate systems that help reconstruct the broader layout of ancient Shiloh, an early religious center, Geek Spin has reported.

While no Ark has been found and the evidence remains circumstantial, the discoveries add new support to long-standing biblical accounts and continue to fuel debate about their historical accuracy.
