A man was arrested in Paris after attacking three women with kitchen knives near Porte de Clichy on Monday.

Two of the victims were seriously injured, while the third suffered less severe injuries.

An off-duty police officer detained the suspect with help from bystanders, preventing further attacks.

Authorities said the suspect made incoherent statements during his arrest, and his identity and motive have not yet been confirmed, the New York Post has reported.

France’s anti-terrorism prosecutor is considering whether to open an investigation into the attack.
