Two giant pandas, Ping Ping and Fu Shuang, arrived at Zoo Atlanta from China as part of a new U.S.-China agreement. 

The pandas traveled from Chengdu aboard a specially equipped FedEx aircraft and arrived in Atlanta on September 27.

They will remain in quarantine for about a month before being introduced to zoo visitors.

The pandas were born in 2020 and will be on loan to Zoo Atlanta for 10 years, the AP has reported.

Their arrival was announced during a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump and was described as a sign of goodwill between the two countries.
