Toyota unveiled its AI-powered humanoid robot CUE7, which performed a live basketball free throw during a halftime show in Tokyo, impressing thousands of spectators.

The 7-foot-2 robot can dribble, move smoothly, and adjust its shots in real time using reinforcement learning instead of pre-programmed instructions.

Unlike earlier versions, it learns through trial and error, improving its performance after each attempt.

Toyota designed CUE7 as a research platform, using basketball as a demanding test of coordination, movement, and decision-making under pressure, Fox News has reported.
