11 hurt, one critically, in Hezbollah drone attack on northern town

At least 11 Israelis were wounded, one critically, in an attack by Hezbollah using explosive-laden drones on northern Israel on Wednesday.

The Israel Defense Forces are investigating why no sirens sounded when the drones hit the Druze-majority town of Hurfeish, near the Lebanon border.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility, stating the attack was retaliation for recent IDF strikes in southern Lebanon, including one that killed a Hezbollah member.

The drones struck within minutes of each other, with the second targeting rescue crews responding to the first strike, the Times of Israel has reported.

Magen David Adom reported that 11 people were injured, with three in moderate condition and the rest lightly hurt.

Seven victims were treated at Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, and two lightly injured were taken to Ziv Hospital in Safed.
