Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that his country would consider using nuclear weapons if its sovereignty or territory faced threats.
In a meeting with international news agencies, Putin addressed various topics, including the possibility of nuclear war and repercussions for countries supporting Ukraine’s actions against Russia.
He emphasized Russia’s nuclear doctrine, which allows for the use of nuclear options if the state’s sovereignty or territorial integrity is endangered, the Al-Jazeera has reported.
Putin dismissed fears of Russia attacking NATO member countries, insisting that portraying Russia as an enemy is detrimental.
Despite concerns raised by Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and Germany’s military leader, Putin reiterated his position that Russia has no intention of attacking NATO.
