The U.S. military said it carried out another strike on Saturday against a boat in the eastern Pacific accused of drug smuggling, killing three men.
U.S. Southern Command described the vessel as involved in narco-trafficking and linked to a designated terrorist organization, though it provided no evidence.
The strike is part of an ongoing campaign targeting suspected drug-smuggling boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific.
With this latest attack, the reported death toll from the strikes since early September has reached 205, the AP has reported.
U.S. officials say the campaign reflects the Trump administration’s position that Latin American drug cartels pose an armed threat tied to drug trafficking into the United States.
