Nvidia launches ‘superchip’ putting AI power into laptops and PCs

Nvidia has unveiled a new AI “superchip” called RTX Spark, designed to bring advanced artificial intelligence capabilities directly into laptops and desktop computers.

The company says the chip could eventually replace traditional mouse and keyboard input by enabling AI agents to control PCs more autonomously.

Developed in collaboration with Microsoft and Taiwan’s MediaTek, the chip will be used by major PC makers like Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Asus.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described it as a major reinvention of the personal computer, expanding AI from data centers into everyday devices, The Guardian has reported.

The move intensifies competition in the AI chip market as rivals like Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm develop their own next-generation processors.
