Donald Trump has ordered another U.S. military strike on a suspected drug-smuggling boat in the Caribbean Sea, killing three people.
The administration says the campaign targets “narcoterrorism” and has now killed at least 181 people since September, with additional strikes also occurring in the eastern Pacific.
Officials claim the vessels are traveling along known trafficking routes, but they have not provided public evidence that drugs were on board.
The operation continues even as the U.S. is engaged in other global tensions, with the military recently increasing activity in the region, NBC News has reported.
Critics argue the strikes may be unlawful and lack transparency or proof of wrongdoing.
