Car bomb explodes outside Northern Ireland police station

Police in Northern Ireland condemned a car-bomb attack on a police station in Dunmurry as an attempt to disrupt the 1998 Good Friday Agreement.

The improvised explosive device, made from a gas cylinder, detonated after being delivered to the site in a vehicle driven by an unwilling delivery driver.

Authorities said nearby residents were evacuated before the explosion, and no injuries were reported.

Officials described the attack as reckless and linked it to dissident groups opposed to the peace settlement, the AP has reported.

The incident follows a recent pattern of similar attempted attacks, which police say are aimed at spreading fear but do not have broad public support.
