$500K worth of bourbon stolen from Philly warehouse, company officials say

More than 10,000 bottles of bourbon were stolen in a coordinated cargo theft from a warehouse in Philadelphia, according to company officials.

The theft, which occurred in broad daylight, involved about 1,800 cases of Noble Oak Bourbon valued at roughly $500,000.

Investigators say suspects may have tricked warehouse workers into allowing access and loading the goods under false pretenses.

The company described the incident as a highly organized operation that appeared to involve knowledge of logistics and delivery schedules, NBC 10 Philadelphia has reported.

Authorities are investigating the case, which is considered one of the largest bourbon thefts in the region this year.
